Lagos - Movement for the Actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra (MASSOB) yesterday denied involvement in the kidnap of persons and other criminal activities in Anambra State. The group regional director of information, Mr. Uche Okorie and the regional administrator, Nze Christian Umeaka who spoke with reporters said MASSOB was a non-violent freedom seeking movement and could not have been involved in kidnap of the people they are struggling for their freedom.

opinion Lagos - The first law of good governance is good security across the land, for one and for all. You cannot have one without the other. Security permeates everything else. It is the lifeblood of healthy nations as opposed to troubled geographical expressions. Onitsha - Twelve more corpses, believed to some of the casualties of the Tuesday morning bloody clash at Elenchele Island, in the River Niger, between people suspected to be members of Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and the Joint Military/Police Taskforce in Onitsha, Anambra State, were yesterday disovered floating in the River Niger by the police in Onitsha.
