The police in Imo has denied media reports on the arrest Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, the leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB). The Police Commissioner, Mr. Innocent Ilozuoke, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday in Owerri that Uwazuruike was only invited for interrogation for an alleged assault.

Owerri - A team of mobile police men from Imo State Police command yesterday arrested the leader of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri. Also arrested were some of his aides.
