Daily Independent (Lagos) opinion Lagos - Did the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger-Delta (MEND) actually bomb the Atlas Cove Jetty? If they did, then it would have been a calamitous error of judgment which is bound to have negative long-term consequences. On the other hand, it is possible that a fifth columnist might have been at work and MEND disastrously just cashed in, as it were, to claim the dubious kudos.

Awka - THE campaign organisation of the son of the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Emeka Etiaba has denied the involvement of the governorship aspirant in the reported assault of Governor Peter Obi by people suspected to be members of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) during the burial ceremony of the former Governor of old Anambra State, Chief Christian Onoh at Ngwo in Enugu State last weekend.
