Tension is building up afresh in the Niger Delta after the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) declared on Friday that it was ending its 90-day cease fire. Aba - Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has warned leadership of the Niger Delta militant groups to be wary of the Federal Government's amnesty, saying it was deceitful. The militants, MASSOB said are not criminals, neither have they been convicted by any court of law to warrant the amnesty, even as the organisation disassociated itself from the 2010 Anambra state governorship election.
